About Alan’s Cafe

In the charming old wooden villa Villa Orrmann, right in the heart of Hanko, you will find Alan’s Café. Here, you can enjoy a coffee break in a relaxed and antiquarian atmosphere.

Who are we?

Alan’s Café is run by a mother and daughter duo, where the principle of homeliness and the preservation of classic recipes are high on the list.
We care deeply about the quality of our products and these are made in small-scale production, using the same recipes for the past 20 years.

Gun-May founded the Vänöboden company in 1978, which later became Strandhugget. In the spring of 2001, Gun-May was given the opportunity to take over Alan’s Café in Hanko and later that year her daughter Mikaela moved to the city and started working in the business. Over the years, both have grown into the various roles offered by the company.

The house where Alan’s Café operates -Villa Orrman- was built in 1889. Gun-May and Mikaela bought the building in 2017 from the city to continue and develop their café business.
